Ryan Connor is the founder of the NAFL and a serial entrepreneur. He currently owns multiple successful businesses, but has discovered a passion for floorball and wants others in the United States and Canada to learn about the sport. A proud Texas native, Ryan has traveled to all 50 of the United States, 5 Canadian provinces (still working on the rest!), and more than 20 other countries around the world. Ryan has been married to his wife Kim since 1996, and they have three wonderful and sports-loving children. Ryan has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University.
Joel Olofsson was born and raised in Helsingborg, in the southern part of Sweden. He started playing floorball at age 10 and has been playing ever since. He started coaching youth teams at age 16, and he has been coaching for FC Helsingborg for “his whole life”. Joel has been an Assistant Coach for the men’s team in The Swedish Super League for three seasons, and he is now their Head of Communications.
Joel has also been involved with USA Floorball since 2014. He is the only head coach the men’s U19 has ever had, and he has been head coach of the men’s team since 2018.
Joel has degrees in both Sports Marketing and in Strategic Communications.
Peter Saliba Gustafsson is a former floorball player and a StIBF (Stockholm floorball federation) official. After being an active player in the Stockholm district for over 17 years he decided to dedicate his time to officiating floorball. He is currently classed as a level 4 referee in Stockholm and his finest merits are youth championship games, women’s first division and men’s second division games. His fondest memory as an official was back in 2018 when the StIBF trusted him with a decider game in the women’s first division, the winner of the game would move to the SSL qualifiers!
At the NAFL he is the Director of Officials, tasked with giving our referees the support they need to become North America’s finest! Together with the NAFL staff Peter will appoint officials to the regular season and championship games.
Cole Connor is one of the co-founders of the NAFL, because it was his idea. While on summer break from Vanderbilt University, Cole came home from his summer job one day and presented the idea to his father Ryan Connor, along with 8 pages of notes on how the league could be run. Over the course of the next several months, that idea turned into the NAFL.
Cole is Director of Player Personnel, and is in charge of keeping track of every player that registers an interest in playing in the league. He maintains the player database that all NAFL owners and coaches can use when searching for qualified players, and is responsible for tracking every registered player in the league. He also maintains all official league statistics, from goals and assists, to shots on goal, penalties, and goalie save percentage.
Cole is currently enrolled at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, TX.
